The information we obtain online is voluntarily: You when choosing to support a project, sponsor a child, or request to receive information from, United Gospel Mission voluntarily to provide the information online. If you give a donation online, your credit card number with expiration date will also be collected. With this personal information we are able to update you on ministry projects, complete a transaction for a donation, and issue a tax receipt for donations. Your credit card information is used solely to complete the transaction and is not retained for any other purposes. Our accounting office has access to these details so they can process the credit card information. Our accounting office consists of reliable, trustworthy staff that has been trained to handle this sensitive information.
Securing personal information: When collecting and transferring sensitive data online including personal information and credit card details, United Gospel Mission wants to ensure the security of this information. Appropriate procedures have been established to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure proper use of the information. We utilize Internet encryption technology, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Protocol, which encrypts your information as it is entered on our website from your computer. The encrypted information is then sent over the Internet and decrypted on a computer in our office. Once the information reaches our office, only a few trusted staff members have access to it.
Sharing personal information with other organizations: We want to assure you that all information collected through the website is kept confidential. Your personal information is never sold, rented, leased, or exchanged with other organizations. The information is restricted to internal use by United Gospel Mission.
